Airwall was created to respond to how the pandemic changed the way we live at home. During lockdowns, the home became more than a place to rest. It also became a workplace, classroom, social space, and private shelter. This created a need for flexible objects that could help people divide space, reduce noise, create privacy, and adapt rooms for different daily activities. The project proposes a modular inflatable system made of lightweight air-filled units. These units can be connected, moved, expanded, or reduced depending on the user’s needs. They can work as partitions, seating elements, insulation surfaces, or background panels. Airwall focuses on comfort, portability, low cost, durability, and simple use. Instead of designing a fixed wall or heavy furniture, the project offers a soft and adaptable system that allows people to reshape their homes quickly. At its core, Airwall is about giving people more control over their living space. It turns the home into a more flexible environment that can change with daily life, especially in moments of crisis, isolation, and uncertainty.
